I have been living at Ponte Palmero for a little over 5 ½ years now and I love it!
It’s a very pleasant atmosphere and the grounds here are very well maintained. I feel very safe and never have to worry when I am out walking the community.
There are several activities all throughout the day and something for everyone to do!
The food is wonderful and the staff is impeccable! If I ever have a complaint about something that need to be fixed the staff here are always there to follow up on and are in contact with me until it is resolved. I can’t speak more highly about the staff! In fact they are my favorite part about living at Ponte Palmero!
I cant say anything negative at Ponte Palmero, the place I have called home for 6 years! The friendships that I have made here have blessed me in many ways! I moved to Ponte to have my own independence among those who have the same desires. They have a lot of activities to do, but I especially love the wine Club!! I wanted to have an inside washer and dryer in my unit, and here at Ponte, every unit has its very own washer and dryer inside our homes. The other factor that drew me here was that they all have a garage! The staff is incredible…the maintenance crew, the admin, the food service… it’s a wonderful!
Our parents, Jim and Peg DeYonker, moved into Ponte Palmero in October of 2009. From day one, it was a perfect fit for them. Over the years, they grew to love it more each day, saying they couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. They lived in a beautiful two bedroom apartment with a view and full sunlight with first rate additions, including a full kitchen with cherry wood cabinets and granite counters. They developed friendships that lasted through the rest of their lives. They were treated with respect and courtesy by staff at every level. The general attitude of staff was that, if was possible, they would do what was right for each individual. They had the option of eating every meal at an easily accessible dining hall. Their community center/dining hall was open all day into the evening serving snacks, meals, with a library, activity rooms (Mom loved playing bridge) and workout room. Our father enjoyed the outdoor heated pool. Ponte Palmero is located within walking distance to local shopping and medical facilities but also offers transportation to the necessities as well as entertainment facilities. The Lighthouse Memory Center was an easy move in 2014 to support our mom in the care of our dad. She, and any family member, could visit him at any time of the day or night and stay as long as we wanted, including for meals, if we chose to. The staff there was upbeat, kind, and attentive. We find it difficult to use words strong enough to show our gratitude to Ponte Palmero for allowing our parent to live the last phase of their lives in comfort, safety, and happiness.

Most sincere thank you go to the staff at Ponté Palmero Memory Care Center for the patience and kindness they have shown my husband. It is a relief to know that he is so well cared for and is as happy as possible in the very comfortable surroundings.
